It's no secret Colorado has some of the most beautiful backdrops for wildflower photoshoots. Whether you're planning a dreamy family photoshoot or a romantic couple's photosession, you truly can't go wrong with any of these locations.
Spring to early summer wildflower locations
You can expect Colorado's wildflower season to really blossom (see what I did there?) starting in early-May. Foothills areas and mountain valleys around 5,000-8,500 feet are where to go for your best chance of viewing flowers this time of year. These early bloom areas usually include flowers like glacier lilies, lupines, and pasqueflowers; they peak late-June at the absolute latest. The higher the elevation, the later the peak.
